Acer Chromebook 14 Braswell IPS Display Laptop Launchces

Acer has this week announced the launch of its new Chromebook 14 that is equipped with an IPS display and comes powered by an Intel Celeron N3060 dual-core Braswell processor that can be supported by either 4GB or 2GB of RAM depending on your budget and requirements.

The Acer Chromebook 14 is the company’s first Chromebook to be constructed using an all metal aluminium chassis and measures just 17mm thick and weighs just 1.5kg.

Internally the Chromebook 14 is fitted with 32GB of eMMC storage and will be available with a full HD display next month priced at around $300. An entry-level model with 16GB of storage and a display offering a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels will also be made available but as yet has not been priced.

Both systems will soon be available are are equipped with IPS displays providing users with wide viewing angles, as well as batteries that are capable of offering up to 14 hours of continual usage or 12 hrs on the Full HD version. Other features of the systems include 2 x USB 3.1 ports.
