Ryan Coogler's career takes a step up, directing Black Panther

Ryan Coogler’s career has consisted of 4 short films and 2 feature length films so far.

That hasn’t stopped Marvel from taking notice, and they’ve signed him on to direct Black Panther. The movie will be releasing in 2018, and stars Chadwick Boseman.

Marvel took notice of Ryan Cooglerafter his first two feature length films. More notably, the seventh installment of Rocky. Ryan Coogler co-wrote and directed the film Creed, which was well received critically.

Producer Kevin Feige was excited to see Coogler join the team for Black Panther, having the following to say about the director.  “The talents Ryan showcased in his first two films easily made him our top choice to direct ‘Black Panther.’  Many fans have waited a long time to see Black Panther in his own film, and with Ryan we know we’ve found the perfect director to bring T’Challa’s story to life.”

The Chronicles of Narnia will get reboot treatment with The Silver Chair

It’s been over five years since the last Chronicles of Narnia film has graced theaters with 2010’s The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, but a new Chronicles film is on the horizon as producer Mark Gordan announced that The Silver Chair is on its way.

Gordan, who was speaking at the TCA press tour, said that they’re “hoping to be able to make [ The Silver Chair ] very shortly. We’re very excited about it.”

The Silver Chair is the fourth book in the series and takes place fifty years after the events of The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. Even though The Silver Chair will be considered a sequel to the third film, it will be a complete reboot for the franchise.

“It’s all going to be a brand new franchise,” Gordon told Collider, “All original. All original characters, different directors, and an entire new team that this is coming from.” Gordon clarified that the new characters would come “from the world” of Narnia.

The Silver Chair follows Eustace Scrubb, the cousin of the Pevensie siblings, as he goes back to Narnia with classmate Jill Pole to rescue Prince Caspian’s (now King Caspian) son Prince Rilian. Who would you like to see as the new Chronicles of Narnia cast? Sound off in the comments below.

A popular UK retailer Clove has slashed the price of the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ to £490 in the UK, a drop of £90 compared to its old price.

This price is not available on Samsung UK’s website where the handset is still listed for £565 so we’re assuming its just the retailer who’s offering the new price.

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ is still one of the best Android devices available at the moment, especially if you’re looking for a big display. It boasts a 5.7-inch display sporting a resolution of 2560 by 1440 pixels, an octa-core Exynos 7420 processor paired with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.

Google Play Store has a massive library of over 2 million apps from thousands of developers.

Google Play Store has a massive library of over 2 million apps from thousands of developers. According to a new report, the Google Play Store reached a whopping 11 billion downloads in the last quarter.

This is an increase of an impressive 6.7 percent compared to the same quarter last year, so there’s a decent improvement.

As far as the most downloaded apps are concerned, Facebook Messenger and Facebook are the two most popular apps in the Google Play Store. Here’s the list of some of the top apps as per the report:

Facebook Messenger Facebook Snapchat Candy Crush Jelly Saga Pandora Color Switch Instagram Piano Tiles 2 Netflix YouTube Music Google Photos WhatsApp

One of the most interesting bits is that Clash Royal has managed to enter the top 20 on both iOS and Google Play Store, especially after the fact that it was released just less than a month before the end of the first quarter, and managed to reach the 9th spot overall.

It’s worth mentioning that these are not official numbers from Google so there’s a possibility of an error. We’re hoping Google will also shed some light on the numbers soon.

Guillermo del Toro’s Pacific Rim brought many fans the simple joy of seeing giant robots beat up giant monsters.

Guillermo del Toro’s Pacific Rim brought many fans the simple joy of seeing giant robots beat up giant monsters. Anyone who has grown up with Voltron or Power Rangers knows that bringing this to the big screen was a good idea. So, why has the sequel been cancelled? Perhaps it hasn’t been.

With del Toro signing on with The Fantastic Voyage, a sci-fi remake, it seemed Pacific Rim 2 was down for the count. Seeing this on the Internet himself, Guillermo had to take to Twitter. “Don’t believe everything you read,” the famed director stated. “It’s still going and I’ll remain w it in one way or another!” This is great news for fans of the first film and anyone who likes to see big monsters get hit with ships.

The Internet can be a hard place to handle when rumors go flying around, but there is a little truth to everything. While Pacific Rim 2 may still exist in one form or another, will Guillermo del Toro still be directing? How long will we have to wait? Only time will tell.

Final Fantasy XI shuts down console servers

Final Fantasy XI shuts down console servers

It has been over a decade since Final Fantasy XI was first introduced to the world.

It has been over a decade since Final Fantasy XI was first introduced to the world. Since then it has gone through many changes from updates, to consoles ports, expansion packs, and more. Sadly, it is time for some players to say goodbye to the world of Vana’diel.

If you own an Xbox 360 or PS2, I hope you have accomplished everything you dreamed of the day you began your journey at level 1. The servers for Final Fantasy XI for these consoles have officially shut down. Not everything is lost though. For those who feel their quest is incomplete, their accounts can be transferred over to PC by following a specific set of instructions. There is also a mobile version of the game coming at some point this year.

If you still feel a hole that needs to be filled, you can always move to Final Fantasy XIV, the more recent MMORPG. Final Fantasy XV was also recently announcedto be coming this September. There is plenty of great worlds from Square Enix to dive into.

Warcraft movie trailer debut

After the long wait and two release date changes, Legendary Pictures, together with Universal Pictures, and Blizzard released the official trailer for their Warcraft movie.

The trailer features the beautiful, intricate work of the WETA Workshop, and top quality special effects. Opening with a stunning view of a gryphon soaring over a snow-capped mountain range, it quickly sets the tone for the vast world. There are variety of locations around the world of Azerothon the brink of the First War, a violent conflict between the humans and orcs, in which the latter of them had invaded, from their wasteland home of Draenor, the lush, rich Azeroth.  This is, in essence, the beginning of the story originally told in the RTS game, Warcraft: Orcs and Humans, later expanded upon through novels, and continued in sequels and the popular MMORPG, World of Warcraft.  The story follows two characters on opposing sides of this war: Sir Anduin Lothar(played by Travis Fimmel), a knight of Stormwind and champion in the Azerothian kingdoms , and Durotan (Toby Kebbell), chieftain of the Frostwolf orc tribe, who wrestles with doubts about the morals and motives of the Horde .

Shadow Complex Remastered Launches On PlayStation 4 May 3rd (video)

Shadow Complex Remastered Launches On PlayStation 4 May 3rd (video)

Originally launched back in 2009 a remastered version of the hugely popular Shadow Complex game will be launching on Sony’s PlayStation 4 early next month as Shadow Complex Remastered, and will be available to play from March 3rd, 2016 onwards.

Shadow Complex Remastered

Donald Mustard Co-Founder and Creative Director at ChAIR | Epic GamesHas taken to the official PlayStation blog this week to reveal more details about what you can expect from the Shadow Complex Remastered edition. Also check out the announcement trailer below.

Our initial goal in designing Shadow Complex was to create a game reminiscent of the classic nonlinear 2D side-scrollers we’d always loved — games like Super Metroid and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. This beloved genre provided some of our most memorable gaming experiences, but was abandoned for more than a decade in favor of new games pushing 3D graphics. We love our modern games, but also longed for something new with the flavor and simplicity of something old. We hoped that others shared our passion for this genre and that Shadow Complex might help to reinvigorate it!

It’s been an amazing experience to watch fellow gamers embrace Shadow Complex with such enthusiasm and we’ve enjoyed playing some of the other new side-scrollers that have since followed. Our twist on classic side-scroller action with modern design sensibility is presented in an original single-player adventure that unfolds across a range of non-linear levels. Gameplay centers around exploration and fast-paced combat, challenging you to gather power-ups to overcome obstacles, thwart enemies, and delve into a mysterious and challenging world. Shadow Complex’s extensive 10+ hour campaign lives on through multiple playthroughs as you obtain all of the game’s items and power-ups, as well as the bonus Proving Grounds mode, which provides side challenges to help hone the skills needed to become the ultimate Shadow Complex master.

Microsoft Will Stop Making Their Xbox 360 Console

Microsoft Will Stop Making Their Xbox 360 Console

Whilst they wont make any new 360 consoles, the company will sell their remaining inventory of the console, they also announced that they will continue to support the platform.

Xbox 360

Microsoft’s Xbox 360 is over 10 years oldand now Microsoft has announced that they will stop making the console.

Xbox 360 means a lot to everyone in Microsoft. And while we’ve had an amazing run, the realities of manufacturing a product over a decade old are starting to creep up on us. Which is why we have made the decision to stop manufacturing new Xbox 360 consoles. We will continue to sell existing inventory of Xbox 360 consoles, with availability varying by country.

Microsoft revealed that owners of the console will still receive Xbox Live and the Xbox Live servers will remain online, all 360 hardware will also be supported by Microsoft.

I want to personally thank the Xbox community – that includes the vast and diverse audience of gamers, developers and publishers who brought so much passion and creativity to the Xbox 360. You are the heart of what we do at TEAM XBOX, and you have been critical to the success of Xbox 360.

The company did not reveal how long they will support the console for, although we suspect it will probably be for the next few years at least. Microsoft will be looking to convert all of those 360 console owners into users of its new Xbox One console, so it would be a good idea to keep them happy by supporting their original platform.

Heroes of the Storm update includes some odd additions

Heroes of the Storm update includes some odd additions

The new Heroes of the Storm patch includes a new hero and various visual updates, but some players may still be unhappy.

There are plenty of updates that you can find here, but I will highlight some of the more important notes below.

The new character is Morales, a support/medic type hero from the Starcraft games. Taking a brief look at her skills, it seems players will be focused on healing and buffing when playing as her, though they will also have knockback ability to help protect themselves.

There will also now be surveys at the end of most matches where you will vote on a 5-rating on questions pertaining to your experience in the match.

Finally, in a bizarre, but logical twist, any computers with less than 2.5GB of Ram, or any computers running a 32-bit operating system, will be locked at the medium graphics setting, regardless of your actual components. The reasoning behind this is pretty simple. If you don’t have enough Ram, the game doesn’t run well. Some players with more than capable machines may have to find some workarounds to take advantage of the high and ultra graphics settings, though.

Overwatch release date confirmed

Overwatch release date confirmed

Blizzard’s newest IP, Overwatch, has had its release date leaked.

Rather then getting upset at news giant IGN, Blizzard has posted an official announcement on their YouTube channel.

NeoGAF user Sn4ke_911 posted a screen shot from IGN, which leaked the launch date ahead of the official announcement. The date leaked was May 24th, 2016. A separate advertisement was also on the website leaking the early access start date, which is May 3rd.

overwatch release date leaked image 1

The highly demanded open beta will be available from May 5th-9th, and available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Any progress made will not be carrying over to the main game, however.

For anyone playing the open beta, all 21 heroes will be available to test out along with all the maps.

On top of having a video on their YouTube page, Overwatch’s official websitehas also been updated to reflect the leaked dates.

Xbox One users get Overwatch's open beta early

Xbox One users get Overwatch's open beta early

Overwatch pre-orders for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 have started, with special exclusives for each console.

If you pre-order Overwatch on either console you will get the Noire Skin for the Widowmaker, as included with the origins edition for the PC. For PlayStation 4users, pre-ordering will also get you theme for your console. Xbox Oneusers will be entitled to 2 days of extra beta access.

The early access will begin on May 3rd and 4th, after that the open beta will take place from May 5-9. That gives players who have pre-ordered on Xbox One or PC 6 days of game time before the game releases on May 24th.

Overwatch is Blizzard’s newest IP, releasing as a modern fantasy FPS. The game features Team Fortress 2 style character swapping, forcing you to try out (and hopefully excel at) all of the characters. Any progression in the game will be purely cosmetic, and the release date was confirmed earlier this month.

Like all Blizzard games, Overwatch characters are making their way over to Heroes of the Storm; with Tracer arriving in April.

Aston Martin Vulcan Is Getting A Road Conversion Kit

Aston Martin Vulcan Is Getting A Road Conversion Kit

The Aston Martin Vulcan is a track only supercar that costs £1.8 million and now it looks like we may see this supercar on our roads in the future.

Aston Martin Vulcan

A number of owners of the Aston Martin Vulcan have expressed interest in being able to use their track on supercar on the public roads.

RML who is a Northampton based engineering has now decided to offer a road conversion kit for the Vulcan, this will make the car road legal, at the moment it can only be driven on the track or private roads.

The road conversion of the 7.0 litre V12 Vulcan will be take about three months for each vehicle and the car will get a number of upgrades to make it road legal.

This will include a number of safety features, plus changes to make it more usable on the road, including ride height and more, the company will also offer any bespoke changes to the car that their customers want.

Speaking exclusively to Autocar about the Vulcan conversions, Aston boss Andy Palmer said: “When we went to market, there was hesitation from a few prospective owners because it didn’t have a road pack. We didn’t want to make it road legal from the start, because [special projects boss] David King and his team wouldn’t have been able to make such a stunning car in the first place, but RML said they had the ability to do it.

As yet there are no details on how much the road conversion kit for the Vulcan will cost, although we suspect it could be quite expensive.

ford-police-truck-1

Ford has officially rolled out a new special duty police vehicle that will be used by officers in different circumstances. The new vehicle is a police version of the F-150 truck offered on SuperCrew and SuperCab configurations. The special package adds a high-output alternator to meet power needs, an easy to clean vinyl rear bench seat and flooring.

The center console is removed to allow the placement of custom equipment in the truck. The Special Service Package is available only in XL trim and can be purchased in 4×4 or 4×2 drivetrains. The engine in the truck is either the 5.0 V8 or a 3.5L EcoBoost engine. Despite the rising popularity of the new consoles such as the PS4, Xbox One, and Wii U, a fan decided to make his own custom PS3. This model was inspired by the Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain console.

The console was revealed on South Korea’s Ruliwebwebsite. It mimics that  MGS V PS4 console well, while also remaining to look like a PS3. Additionally, I think it’s amusing that the fan-made console copied the typo the MGS V console had. The fan made console have four golden legs that keep the console up. I never thought golden legs would look so appealing.

Pictures of the Metal Gear Solid V PS4 console is below. Now if you wish, you can compare and contrast the consoles. After you do, you can probably come to the realization that both consoles look awesome.

Overwatch player progression system is cosmetic only

Overwatch player progression system is cosmetic only

Overwatch’s second beta started earlier this week and the game’s developer Blizzard ran down what gamers can expect from Overwatch’s new player progression system.

Progression in Overwatch is tied to earning experience and leveling up a player’s account, not individual characters. Once gamers level up their accounts they’re awarded Loot Boxes which contain cosmetic items for their characters.

Blizzard made sure to stress that Loot Boxes are truly cosmetic and “won’t provide any additional player power.” If a loot box contains an item already in a gamer’s collection the gamer would receive credits instead. Credits are in-game currency used to unlock more cosmetic items.

The full list of items found in Loot Boxes are below:

Player Icons – Customize your player profile with an icon reflecting your favorite character, ability, Blizzard game, and more. Skins – Dress for success with new looks for all 21 heroes, including rare color variations and legendary skins such as Safari Winston or Punk Tracer. Emotes – Taunt your enemies and cheer on your allies with a series of new in-game emotes. Sprays – Make your mark on the battlefield with graffiti-like sprays based on heroes, maps, logos, and more (default: T). Voice Lines –  Chat up your fellow players variety of new voice lines available through the communications wheel (default: C). Victory Poses – Strike a pose and tailor how your hero appears in your team’s photo finish. Highlight Intros – Add a little flair to your Plays of the Game with special animated introductions for each hero.

Blizzard is still debating on whether it will introduce microtransactions into Overwatch, but the good news is that all post-release content will be freefor the upcoming first-person shooter.

Overwatch launches in June 2016 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Only five of these racers were known to exist and most of them are in museums where they will spend the remainder of their days. If you want one of these early ’60s racers, the only way to get one is to buy the official continuation car from a company called Superformance.

These cars are officially licensed continuation 1963 Corvette Grand Sport #003 race cars with the same paint scheme that A.J. Foyt drove at Sebring in 1964. Unlike the original cars, these continuation cars are street legal. They are tube frame machines with hand laminated fiberglass bodies.

The cars are fitted with power windows, AC, and a larger trunk than you might imagine. The car is so close to the real thing it looks and feels like a 1963 Corvette inside and out. The car uses a Tremec T-56 6-speed manual transmission and there are several engine options ranging from a basic $6000 LS V8 up to a $22,000 592hp Lingenfelter LS7 427ci V8 with fuel injection. Reddit user the MCVcreated his on version of the pip-boy that would run as a standalone unit a couple of weeks back. Using a 3-d printer to create the look and a raspberry pi computer, the functional pip-boy is capable of running google maps, effectively acting as GPS navigation. It’s a pretty cool replica, but it’s not perfect as it is still controlled by keyboard. Regardless, being able to recreate an accurate model with at least one of the game’s functions has earned it a lot of praise.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see more of these innovative replicas from crafty fans pop up all over in the coming months of Fallout 4 hype.

Tesla Model 3 Orders Close To 400,000

Tesla Model 3 Orders Close To 400,000

Tesla’s third vehicle, the Tesla Model 3, which launches in 2017 appears to be off to a great start as Tesla Model 3 orders are now close to 400,000.

Tesla Model 3

Orders of the Tesla Model 3 have now been available for about two weeks and the fact that the company has managed to secure deposits for close to 400,000 cars is very impressive.

The Model 3 is Tesla’s most affordable electric vehicle to date, the car will cost $35,000 before any rebates and it should cost around $27,500 after the Federal Tax rebate in the US.

The company has only released some brief details about the car, so far we know that it will have a range of around 215 miles and it will have a 0 to 60 miles per hour time of under 6 seconds.

First units of the car will ship at the end of next year and it could take Tesla a couple of years to fulfill all of their pre-orders. Tesla may have to scale up its production plans for the car in order to meet demand for the vehicle.

Each one of those 400,000 customers has placed a $1,000 deposit on the Model 3, if Tesla can manage to produce the cars to meet the demand it could make a massive $14 billion on just this one model.

It seems like not to long ago, everyone was shocked at Nintendo’s announcement to take a leap into the mobile device market. Now their first app, Miitomo, is already available for iOS and Android,  but just how much fun is the app?

Of course with any social messaging app, you’ll have more fun the more connections you have, but Nintendo’s first advertisement of Miitomo really depicts all the wonderfully silly things you can do. You can take great pictures and put yourself in crazy costumes, all while answering random questions that determine who you really are. Your friends can look at these same questions and answer based on how well they know you.

As joyous as I think Miitomo can be, this listing of features doesn’t really do it justice. Check out the merry ad below and you’ll see everything you need to know about Nintendo’s first app. Get it now in iOS and Android devices.

In the past year, we have seen some big name developers state that they will be making games and other apps for mobile devices. Not the least of which is Nintendo itself. They’ve quickly made good one their word with announcements of the upcoming Miitomo and Pokemon Go. Now here’s something being added more so for its convenience.

Tomorrow, March 31st, comes the launch of Nintendo’s new loyalty program, My Nintendo. With this, fans will now be able to sign in on their computers or mobile devices to the Nintendo eShop. Once there, they can actually remotely download any game on the shop. Spur of the moment gaming has never been this good. In addition, more filters will be added to the searching process so you can check out titles by their genre.

It’s a great time to be a gamer. With technology moving forward, the possibilities are endless. Makes sure to keep an eye out for Miitomo, also being launched tomorrow, March 31st.

BMW fans who like to take their car to track days will be glad to hear that this summer the BMW M Laptimer app will gain a cool new integration. The M Laptimer will gain the ability to control a GoPro camera via iOS devices using the BMW iDrive controller and high-resolution screen. The update will also BMW drivers to start and stop the M Laptimer at the same time they start and stop video recording via the GoPro camera.

The video is stored on the GoPro camera and a low-resolution version is saved on the phone for playback next to the map view on the M Laptimer app. Once the update is applied this summer, when the user launches the M Laptimer app via iDrive, a GoPro tab will appear in the menu. On the iDrive screen users will see the camera name being controlled, a live preview image to adjust the camera angle, WiFi strength, and battery level.

“The BMW M Laptimer and GoPro integrations have both proven to be incredibly popular with driving enthusiasts. From the time that we launched the first in-car integration for a GoPro camera, bringing that integration together with the BMW M Laptimer seemed like the natural way to really enhance the track driving experience,” said Christian Schmid, senior development engineer at the BMW Group Technology Office USA. “This allows us to provide BMW drivers the ability to safely capture and share their track experience.”

You Could Own the Top Gear Reasonably Priced Car

One of the coolest things the old Top Gear did was put stars in the reasonably price car and let them whip it around the track.

astra-tg

One of the coolest things the old Top Gear did was put stars in the reasonably price car and let them whip it around the track. If you ever watched the show, you know most of these stars were better off acting or playing music than taking to the track. The Vauxhall Astra was driven HARD for 2,908 miles… or kilometers.

All it says is mileage, 2908 on the eBay UK listing. I’d assume kilometers considering its on eBay UK. The listing is up to £8,000.00 with only two bids made and the reserve isn’t met. We have no idea just what the reserve is, but clearly the car wants a premium considering it was on TV and lots of stars have driven it.

One big catch that will keep bids low is that with the racing seats and roll cage inside, the car has the airbags disabled. That means it can’t be driven on the street. Just think how awesome it would be to turn up at a track day in the Top Gear Reasonably Priced Car. It would cost a lot of money to get the car back into road legal form.

GoPro Battery Adapter Supporting 18650 Cell Format Unveiled (video)

GoPro Battery Adapter Supporting 18650 Cell Format Unveiled (video)

GoPro action camera users that are looking for a longer battery life to make sure they never miss that all-important shot, may be interested in a new GoPro battery adapter which has been designed by Cortex R&D based in Canada.

GoPro Battery Adapter

The GoPro battery adapter is apparently the very first to support the powerful 18650 cell format and is capable of adding an additional three hours of HD recording per cell and are contained in a fully waterproof casing. Watch the video below to learn more about its design and capabilities to extend your GoPro action cameras battery life.

Specifications include

– The first 18650 lithium-ion rechargeable cell adapter for the GoPro
– Uses low-cost, high performance, off-the-shelf cells
– More than 6 hours of total HD recording (3h+ per cell)
– Compatible with Hero 3, 3+ and 4
– Uses the GoPro’s 40-meter waterproof housing*
– Waterproof
– Quick on-the-fly battery swap
– Unbeatable value

The Pwr-XS project was born in April 2015, after I decided that I had spent enough money on batteries that just wouldn’t satisfy my needs. Being part of an off-road motorcycle club in the Montreal region, we often organize long trips that can last several days. On a typical day, it’s not unusual to keep riding for 8 hours or more. Nobody wants to miss those precious, beautiful, funny, exciting, thrilling or sometimes dramatic moments. That’s why we need long duration batteries, along with the GoPro’s looping mode, so we can forget about them and focus on the present moment.

When I sat down to see what other options were offered on the market, I was pretty disappointed with what I found out there. Who wants cumbersome cabling, USB connectors requiring holes in the case, bulky bricks, or expensive customs batteries? Then it came to my attention that there was a very powerful off-the-shelf battery that would be perfect for the job: The mighty NCR18650B lithium-ion rechargeable cell from Panasonic. The same ones Tesla use in their Model S. Looking at the specs, dimensions, robustness and price of those cells, and since no one offered any adapter to use them on the GoPro, I decided to marry them both together.

New Magic Leap VR Demonstration Unveils Home User Interface Concept (video)

New Magic Leap VR Demonstration Unveils Home User Interface Concept (video)

Magic Leap the company responsible for creating via hardware has this week unveiled a new video demonstrating a home user interface concept that transforms your living area into an interactive environment.

Magic Leap

Check out the videos below to learn more about the Leap Motion technology and view a demonstration that was recorded directly through Magic Leap technology.

The Magic Leap head-mounted virtual retinal display Has been specifically designed to superimposes 3D CGI elements over the top of real world objects, by projecting a digital light field into the user’s eye.

You already own the world’s most amazing computer. You’re using it right now, to think with and blink with and maybe even smile with. It’s your one-of-a-kind mind. And with it, you can do incredible things. Magic things. Compare that to the technology in your life. You know, those rectangular boxes that you spend the majority of your life staring into? The ones that demand your attention, and keep you distracted from the things that really matter: Friends! Family! Dragons!

With those things in mind, we decided to take a different path and rethink the relationship technology has with people. What we found was when you give the brain and the body what they want, suddenly the shackles are off, the rectangular boxes are tossed, and something magical happens…experiences like none you’ve ever seen. Whales jump out of gymnasium floors, solar systems can be held in the palm of your hand, and you can share your world in completely new ways. We’re so excited to show you what we’re building. So while we work to get it exactly right for you, please keep in touch and know that magic is right around the corner.

May scan, very fast, of 2D and Linear barcodes, in “omni directional” mode (360° rotation) doesn’t matter how you point.

May be used in real time mode like a standard “cordless” scanner, using Keyboard wedge mode, or SPP mode (Serial Port Profile), to be 100% compatible with any existing management software. Using the Inventory mode, BtClip may store all data, the records may be formatted as Barcode only or Barcode+Quantity (very usefull) and later saved in a text file. May work OFF Line or ON Line connected by Bluetooth to PC, Tablet, Smartphones, having a full bi-directional communication and being totally driven by a whide set of software commands, for the developers happiness !

Portal-based VR experience to be released by Valve

Portal-based VR experience to be released by Valve

A recent Twitter post by Geoff Keighley has announced that Valve is making a VR experience set in a “pocket universe of Aperture Laboratories.”
The VR experience will be called “The Lab,” and while not much is known about the title now, more is planned on being revealed during GDC 2016, which runs from March 14th to the 18th.

The Lab will attempt to show off  the partnership of Valve and HTC’s Vive headset. Valve also noted that the game will be available on Steam to Vive owners sometime this spring for free.

While it’s not the Portal sequel we were looking for, the idea seems pretty nifty. This isn’t the first time Valve has done this, either. At last year’s GDC, Valve created a VR experience set in the Portal universe called Aperture Robot Repair, which showed off the Vive’s whole-room tracking technology. Part of that program is used in Valve’s Steam VR Performance Test, which tests if you’re computer can handle running VR programs.

FlexCase Concepts Adds A Fexible ePaper Display To Your Smartphone (video)

FlexCase Concepts Adds A Fexible ePaper Display To Your Smartphone (video)

A new smartphone case concept has been unveiled this week by researchers at the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria in partnership with Microsoft, that offers an easy way to add a second flexible ePaper display to your smartphone.

Fexible ePaper Display

The additional screen is capable of providing a number of unique features as well as offering an extra way to navigate your smartphone without the need to touch its screen and hinder your view of the application you are using.

Watch the video below to learn more about this concept flexible ePaper display smartphone case, that shows a glimpse of what we can expect in the future from smartphone cases that will not only protect your phone but also provide additional features and functionality. Its creators explain a little more about the cases inspiration, design and functions.

FlexCase is a novel flip cover for smartphones, which brings flexible input and output capabilities to existing mobile phones. It combines an e-paper display with a pressure- and bend-sensitive input sensor to augment the capabilities of a phone. Due to the form factor, FlexCase can be easily transformed into several different configurations, each with different interaction possibilities.

We can use FlexCase to perform a variety of touch, pressure, grip and bend gestures in a natural manner, much like interacting with a sheet of paper. The secondary e-paper display can act as a mechanism for providing user feedback and persisting content from the main display. In this paper, we explore the rich design space of FlexCase and present a number of different interaction techniques.

Beyond, we highlight how touch and flex sensing can be combined to support a novel type of gestures, which we call Grip & Bend. We also describe the underlying technology and gesture sensing algorithms. Numerous applications apply the interaction techniques in real-world examples, including enhanced e-paper reading and interaction, a new copy-and-paste metaphor, high degree of freedom 3D and 2D manipulation, and the ability to transfer content and support input between displays in a natural and flexible manner.

Unfortunately the prototype flexible ePaper display smartphone case is not yet available to purchase but if and when a consumer version is released we will keep you up-to-date as always.

– Two-click checkout for fast and secure purchases insured by a 100% buyer guarantee
– iPhone 6s/6s+ optimization and iPad compatibility
– Google Cardboard integration

This immersive, virtual reality functionality is the single biggest innovation in the ticket buying space since the first seat map was introduced. Standard seat view photos or renderings are a step in the right direction, but still leave much to the imagination. An interactive panorama tells the whole story and Seat360 utilizes virtual reality in a practical way, giving customers the opportunity to experience their seat before they buy.
