Volvo FMX Dump Truck Driven Remotely By 4 Year Old Sophie (video)

Volvo has released a new and awesome video of a four-year-old girl named Sophie remotely driving a full-size dumper truck fitted with Volvo FMX technology around a course which has been laid out in a disused gravel pit.

The course that Sophie has to navigate has been littered with obstacles and requires very tricky manoeuvring, yet Sophie does an amazing job of being able to keep the dump truck on course and even manages to roll the vehicle landing it on its tyres perfectly to be able to drive off once again.

This live test was set up to demonstrate the sturdiness and mobility of the Volvo FMX. How Supergirl's Earth-1 Counterpart Could Appear On The Flash

Now that Greg Berlanti and the rest of the DC TV creative team have looped Supergirl into the mix, the sky is the limit for what could happen in the future, and that’s not limited to just Earth-1’s sky, either.

Even before The Flash’s tripto National City happened, fans were talking about whether or not Supergirl could head to The Flash ’s universein the future. But what about an Earth-1 doppelgänger for Kara Danvers? Here’s what executive producer Andrew Kreisberg says.
Any Kara that exists on Earth-1 would also have to have been an alien. It can’t just be Kara Danvers from Poughkeepsie.
I’m sure Poughkeepsie residents aren’t too pleased to hear that they couldn’t be the home of Earth-1 Kara Danvers, but perhaps they’re okay with not being the first place in the world where an actual alien has been proven to exist. All those tourists!

Back to Central City. Of all the weirdness that The Flash has given us – and that includes your basic metahumans, your giant animal metahumans, your multiple dimensions, your ghoulish time wraithsand more – the show still hasn’t really looked into space for its science fiction angles. And while a visit to Earth-1 from an extraterrestrial wouldn’t necessarily have to show anything from space, I kind of wish there were some galactic elements to this show in the future.

A doppelgänger of Kara showing up on Earth-1 would be headline news to the rest of the world, but I’m betting it would happen in such a way that only the S.T.A.R. Labs team would find out about it. I can just see Cisco’s face now as he humbly but excitedly asks Kara to do experiments on her with whatever alien-examining device he invented just minutes before she showed up.

When asked by EW, Kreisberg interestingly teases that another world’s version of Kara could also have some superpowers.
Sure, different costume, but sure.
Yes, it’s likely that another version of Kara wouldn’t have the same Kryptonian history, meaning the ”S” on her costume wouldn’t have the same familial symbolism. Plus, what if capes are not as in vogue on other versions of Earth? I’m pretty sure Cisco would also have a device for that, too, although maybe Caitlin would be better suited for something that’s both well-designed and fashionable.

Kevin Smith, who is directing an upcoming episodeof The Flash , recently talked about what fans can expect from Supergirl over its final episodes, but he also mentioned that the producers were talking about that Flash crossover being the first of many for the Girl of Steel. I assume these shows’ brainstorming sessions are out of this world, literally, and that Berlanti & Co. will eventually figure out a perfect way to get both Supergirl proper and Earth-1 Kara into the narrative before another season has passed.

In the meantime, Flash fans can get ready for a wacky crossoverin the coming weeks that ties into Arrow ’s latest shocker. Find the Scarlet Speedster on Tuesday nights on The CW, while Supergirl airs Monday nights on CBS.

How The Flash And Zoom's Origin Stories Compare

When The Flash slapped audiences with the realization that Hunter Zolomonis actually this season’s Big Bad, Zoom, they pulled out all the storyline stops. And, it looks like before Season 2 ends, we’ll mostly have an explanation for why Zoom has been zooming between Earthsand scooping up Flashes to steal the hero’s speed. Teddy Sears, who portrays Zoom/Jay Garrick/Hunter Zolomon, has some interesting thoughts on how Zoom and The Flash actually share something in common.
We’re going to see what happened to Hunter as a child look almost exactly like what happened to Barry when he was a child...The template was set at a very early age for both characters. Hunter goes the opposite way that Barry goes; that’s what I can tease about where it all began, which of course gets into some really exciting stuff when Hunter and Barry begin to interact, because there’s a lot of stuff that bubbles up to the surface for Hunter that he didn’t realize was there.
Teddy Sears spoke with Entertainment Weeklyabout how the audience of The Flash will see a resemblance between what led to Barry Allen becoming a superhero, and what influenced Hunter Zolomon and made him a supervillain. It looks like the two are more similar than we could have imagined.

As we all know by now, Barry lost his mom when the Reverse-Flash broke into their home when he was 10-years-old and killed his mother. Barry’s father was then accused and convicted of the murder, meaning that Barry basically lost both his parents in one fell swoop. Judging by Teddy Sears’ words, Hunter Zolomon went through something seriously traumatic as a child that led to him thinking to hell with it and become a bad guy on a mad quest for as much power as possible. Since his childhood trauma apparently mirrorsthat of Barry’s, it’s likely that he lost someone, probably a parent or two, very close to him at a young age.

So, for Barry, losing his mother and having his dad incarcerated led him to work within the legal system to try to prove his dad’s innocence and find the person who really killed his mom. Meanwhile, Hunter used a similar event to grow angry, cold and desperate to keep something like that from happening to him again. Hunter also let that resentment fester, which would be easy to do, while Barry was able to live with hope after the tragedies of his past. Once they both see their similarities, it’s sure to freakthem right out. And, whatever “bubbles up to the surface for Hunter” will surely be fuel for more cruelty.

Well, I can’t wait to see how two such different characters end up with some commonalities other than speed. The Flash will air more new episodes starting with Episode 18, “Versus Zoom,” which airs on April 19.

While The Flash currently has Zoom as Barry Allen’s biggest antagonist, a Flash fan’s worst enemy is the agonizingly slow waits between episodes, especially when there are weeks at a time without anything new happening.

But the wait will be worth it, as Hunter Zolomon’s Zoomwill be explored a lot more in the coming weeks, and we’ll finally get to learn just what the hell is going on with that Man in the Maskthat Zoom is holding captive. But we’ll sadly be waiting quite a while longer for that particular mystery’s answer. Here’s how actor Teddy Sears dropped the knowledge.
If you’d asked me this question last week — my answer still has to be the same because it’s just such a big reveal; we reveal it in the finale — I had no clue last week. I didn’t know who the guy was. I didn’t even have a clue. Well, of course, now I know because we’re shooting the finale and we’ll get to that stuff next week. All has been revealed to me. I don’t even know what to say because it’s such a fun thing to me being nice and vague and untouched. I can promise that it will be revealed and it will be quite satisfying.
Now, I’m of the point of view that waiting for a big reveal like that sucks, but nothing he said there did anything to water down my excitement about figuring out who that is under that weird mask. And I’m inclined to believe it’s indeed a much better choice to keep that reveal on the backburner until the finale. Work with me here.



If this kind of a mystery had happened in the first half of Season 1, it would have been an interesting situation with a far more limited lineup of characters that could have been under there. But at this point in Season 2, we’ve met a ton of new people, visited an entire new world of doppelgängers, and saw the events from several different timelines. So now the list of potential “in the mask” candidates is huge, and there are still a handful of super-important episodesthat will air before that finale gets here, which means another two or seven wild reveals will come out in the meantime, changing it up even further. If there’s any show that has earned the right to keep audiences guessing, it’s the show that keeps upping the number of possible solutions.

I could use a more energetic description for this masked man’s reveal than “quite satisfying,” but maybe Teddy Sears was keeping his true feelings calm for EWas not to break the Internet. After all, this guy is probably going to do some more heinous shit before Flash takes him down for good, in either this season or the next one, and he probably doesn’t want to attract too much attention, as not to get real-world vigilantes chasing after him. Sometimes I get actors mixed up with their characters, but it’s fine.

The Flash returns to The CW next Tuesday, April 19. For now, my guess for the masked man's identity is Supergirl.

One Former Flash Actor Really Wants To Return To The Show

While The Flash isn’t as known for character deaths as some of DC Comics’ other TV shows, a few well-liked characters have been killed off of the series.

One of those characters is Ronnie Raymond, the dude who played one half of Firestormearly on in The Flash . The character was played by actor Robbie Amell, who explained during a recent panel at the Emerald City Comic-Con that he would love to come back and reprise the character again. Here’s what he had to say:
I hope so. I am not back this season. They’re just finishing up the Season 2 finale, and I wasn’t available… and they didn’t ask me. There were a lot of really big storylines to tie up and I had dinner with Greg Berlanti the other night and I asked him for all the spoilers and he gave them to me, and you guys are in for one incredible final stretch of season 2. But I would love to go back. I told him: ‘Whenever I’m available, whenever you want me, I’m there.’
The DC TV universe has a lot of ways of killing off characters, but it also has a nearly equal number of ways to bring those dead characters back. Over on The Flash , we’ve seen dead characters return via time travel, not to mention met their Earth-2 counterparts, who are generally played by the original actor or actress who was killed off. Because of this, it makes total sense that Robbie Amell might make a comment at the Emerald City Comic-Con ( via Screenrant) about appearing on the series again. It could very well happen, just not this season.



As Robbie Amell noted, he won’t be back in Season 2. That would be more unfortunate if we hadn’t actually seen the actorpop up earlier this season. In “Welcome to Earth-2,” Amell playedDeathstorm, a villainous version of the original character Amell played who just so happened to live on Earth-2.

As fun as it was to play Deathstorm, Robbie Amell does have a requestif he is asked back though:
I would prefer to go back as Firestorm [rather] than Deathstorm. I loved playing Deathstorm but I think it’s tougher to have a serious arc if I’m going back as a bad guy, because I just won’t last as long.
After taking a bit of a break in March, The Flash is back on the air and still has quite a few episodes to air before Season 2is over. Right now, we obviously have no way of knowing how Ronnie Raymond could fit back into the fold at any point, but we’ll let you know if that day comes. In the meantime, new episodes of The Flash air on Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. ET, only on the CW.

Mercedes has used the video to show off the new Brake Assist Plus system which is designed to brake for you in the event of a potential crash, although the toy cars have magnets to stop them from crashing.

Whilst the system is a great idea for road cars, we think Mercedes should leave it out of their toy cars as they seem a lot less fun in the video.

5 Big Things The Flash Just Revealed About Zoom

With very little fluff involved, “Versus Zoom” was easily one of the best episodes of the series thus far, and is to me the most effective effort from Season 2, wisely using so much of what’s been previously set up to inform everything that happened during the briskly paced hour. Viewers got everything that they were promised when it comes to the big bad Zoom and his backstory, which got nearly as dark as his costume, and slightly more uncomfortable (presuming it’s not the snuggest fit). While there are definitely questions that are left to be answered about Zoom in the The Flash ’s future, here are five big things that we learned about the darkness-filled man both in and out of the mask.

“Versus Zoom” kicked off with an incredibly dark scene that brought out an obvious comparison point between Hunter Zolomon and Barry Allen: both characters had mothers that were murdered. Only instead of being the victim of a time-traveling, vengeance-seeking baddie, Hunter’s mom Ashley was the victim of her war veteran husband James, who clearly did not like what she was up to in his absence. But did he really have to shoot her in cold blood right in front of young Hunter? That brutal scene makes me wonder about how Hunter would handle things if he zipped back to the past to the time of that killing; would he stop it or, at the very least, take young Hunter out of the room as Barry did to his younger self, throwing that timeline into chaos? In any case, rarely has a character been so irrefutably heinous in such a limited period of time as Papa Zolomon, and it clearly had an effect on Hunter’s orphanage-filled future.

LEGO builders that are in search of a smartphone controlled LEGO system may be interested in a new platform called BlueSmartControl, that has been created by Andreas Pockberger based in Austria.

Why Arrow's Flashbacks Are Getting Less Interesting, According To The Executive Producer

Arrow has gone through plenty of changes over its four seasons so far, but one element of the show that has not changed is the use of flashbacks to tell the story of how Oliver changed from a poorly-coiffed playboy to a fighting machine.

The early years of the flashbacks were pretty great, largely thanks to a compelling cast of characters and star Stephen Amell showing Oliver’s transition. Season 4 has seen the flashbacksbegin to really drag on the present timeline, however. According to executive producer Marc Guggenheim, there’s a very good reason why the flashbacks are getting less interesting.

In a chat with TVLine, Marc Guggenheim had this to say about the current state of the flashbacks: Part of the appeal of the flashbacks – certainly in the first two years, but I think the first three years is seeing what a difference it is between Oliver Queen in the present day and Oliver Queen five years ago. The problem is that we are telling a five-year story in the flashbacks of Oliver becoming the guy you met in the pilot. So the deeper you get into the flashbacks, the closer he comes to being that guy, and, thus, you lose that element of the flashbacks that was so interesting, which is how different he was…. That’s something we have struggled with this year.
Guggenheim certainly has a point that the contrast between flashback Oliver and present Oliver is less stark in Season 4 than in Seasons 1 and 2. Pre-island Ollie--who absconded on a sex cruise with his girlfriend’s sister--is dead and gone in the flashbacks as well as the present. In many ways, pre-island Ollie being gone has made Arrow a much better show. Still, the flashbacks now have less novelty than they did in years past.



Although Marc Guggenheim has his own ideas about the flashbacks, I personally feel one of the biggest problems with the Season 4 flashbacks hasn’t been that flashback Oliver is getting too close to Season 1 Oliver. The problem has been that the distinction between present Oliver and past Oliver hasn’t been very clear, especially since the big haircutthat removed the aesthetic difference between them. Flashback Oliver isn’t as ruthless as he should be by this point in his journey, so there’s no contrast between him falling into darkness in his path toward becoming the murderous Hood and fighting toward the light of the Green Arrow.

Hopefully, Season 5 won’t waste any time in advancing flashback Oliver toward the next stage of his development. The show has been teasing his Bratva connectionssince the very beginning, and he’s running out of time in those five years to learn Russian and earn his rank as captain. Assuming that Oliver’s Bratva arc doesn’t take place on the island, we can expect some more interesting adventures in a fresh venue in the past during Season 5.

For us muggles, the wait for more (literally) magical adventures in the wizard world has become incredibly tedious.

The author of the Harry Potter novels posted the above tweetearlier today. It looks like she had a pretty good Monday – one made endlessly better by this generous offer from Warner Bros. Despite the fact that Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them won’t come out for several months, she apparently got to see the finished movie early during her own private screening.

Of course, as the creator of the entire wizard world it only seems fitting that J.K. Rowlingwould get the opportunity to see Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them this early. Aside from merely showing respect to the person who created the Harry Potter universe, Warner Bros. likely wants to make sure that they have once again knocked it out of the park. Rowling’s seal of approval can go a long way towards ensuring that this new avenue to the universe is off to a solid start.

J.K. Rowling seems to fully understand just how awesome of an opportunity this is. When the entirety of Twitter started to voice its collective jealousy, she responded with a casual attitude that has become one of her trademark traits:

The importance of Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them cannot be understated. As a spin-off of the wildly popular Harry Potter franchise, the film will open up a whole new avenue of the Harry Potter universe outside of Hogwarts, and present audiences with a new series protagonist in the form of Eddie Redmayne’s Newt Scamander. Fantastic Beasts could prove endlessly important for the future of Warner Bros. as it will afford them a potential goldmine franchise that doesn’t rely superheroesto draw in an audience. Rowling didn’t provide any information regarding the quality of the film itself, but our hopes remain high that Fantastic Beasts will surpass even the highest of expectations.

Mazda Motor Corporation has revealed the Mazda MX-5 RF (retractable fastback). The latest addition to the MX-5 family fully embodies the model’s 26-year-old tradition of “lots of fun”. While staying true to the original MX-5 Retractable Hardtop’s goal of making open-top driving more accessible, Mazda has broken the bounds of conventional thinking to create something entirely new.

The MX-5 RF features fastback styling with a smooth roofline that slopes down to the rear end, and its unique rear roof and retractable back window offer a new open-air feeling. The power roof can be opened or closed at speeds of up to 10 km/h with the press of a button, and the roof is stowed compactly and efficiently in a limited space. Despite its fastback styling and hardtop roof, the MX-5 RF offers the same amount of trunk space as the soft-top model.

The Tio development team based in London, has taken to Kickstarter crowdfunding website this month to launch their new Tio system that allows almost anyone to create their very own connected toys and projects.

The team are hoping to raise $50,000 over the next 34 days to take the Tio system into production. Allowing anyone to animate and program almost any toy from their imagination and can be built by either reusing old toys, Lego, gadgets or even 3D printing parts.

The new Ferrari GTC4Lusso was made official last month , the car is the replacement for the Ferrari FF and now the car has made it debut at the Geneva Motor Show.

Then at 11.15 precisely, the presentation ceremony began and the crowd in front of the Prancing Horse swelled to throng as the flash bulbs popped and the wraps were whipped off. Yes, wraps plural because there were not one but two examples of the new four-seater on the stand: one sporting a Bianco Italia livery, Blu Sterling interior, Low-e panoramic roof to keep the cabin temperature constant even on the sunniest of days, and diamond-finish forged wheels, and the other in classic Grigio Ferro Met with a Cognac semi-aniline leather cabin.

Assassin’s Creed is the latest venture into the Video Game adaptation genre, overseen by Azaïzia Aymar, head of content for the franchise.

The first movie has just finished filming, meaning that post-production is up next. Assassin’s Creed stars award winning Michael Fassbender, who portrays a young Magneto in the recent X-men movies.

Michael Fassbender said back in October that he’d like to see a sequel to the film, despite the first one still being in production at the time. “We’ll see how the first one does, but that’s the idea, […] The material and the landscape is so rich, there’s definitely enough there for a franchise.” By the sounds of things, Fassbender would be a fan of the video games.

Huawei VR Headset Unveiled To Compete With Samsung Gear VR

After unveiling its new range of smartphones earlier this month, Huawei has this week unveiled its new Huawei VR headset which has been designed to compete with the likes of the Samsung’s Gear VR.

The Samsung’s Gear VR has been designed in partnership with Oculus, the creators of the newly available Oculus Rift VR headset which was purchased by Facebook for $2 billion after successfully launching via Kickstarter.

The new Huawei VR headset functions in a similar way to Samsung’s Gear VR allowing you to use the power of your smartphone to immerse yourself in virtual reality games, applications and environments. The new Huawei VR headset supports the two new P9 smartphones and the larger Mate 8 and at launch Huawei will be making available 4000 free movies as well as, 43 games together with over 350 panoramic images as well as 150 panoramic tours to use with a new virtual reality headset.

Specifications for the new Huawei VR headset include a 95-degree field of view and a 20ms low latency together with an anti-blue light filter to protect your eyes. Unfortunately no information on pricing or worldwide availability has been released as yet by Huawei, but as soon as information comes to light we will keep you updated as always.

Deadpool officially rated R

Not surprisingly, as per Ryan Reynolds and Mario Lopez’s prank early last year, Deadpool has officially been rated R by the Motion Picture Association of America.

If you’re familiar with the Deadpool franchise, this won’t come as a shock to you. The reason for the rating is “strong violence and language throughout, sexual content and graphic nudity.”

Almost everything that inspired the decision for the R rating has been hinted in the various trailers that have been released for the film, especially violence and lewd behaviour. If you couple this with leaked photos from the set, the reasoning is clear.

Reportedly, Ryan Reynolds had to fight for the R rating as there were fears throughout the studio that it would diminish the possible audience, limiting the films potential – thankfully, Reynolds (Deadpool), came out on top – what would Deadpool be without his humour and mayhem?

Batman film, whose plot was basically revealed within three trailers, we’re still left well in the dark with Suicide Squad.

The film’s synopsis was released just last month, which reads as such:

It feels good to be bad…Assemble a team of the world’s most dangerous, incarcerated Super Villains, provide them with the most powerful arsenal at the government’s disposal, and send them off on a mission to defeat an enigmatic, insuperable entity. U.S. intelligence officer Amanda Waller has determined only a secretly convened group of disparate, despicable individuals with next to nothing to lose will do. However, once they realize they weren’t picked to succeed but chosen for their patent culpability when they inevitably fail, will the Suicide Squad resolve to die trying, or decide it’s every man for himself?

Still, pretty ambiguous. Now, a new photo (pictured above) has been released. From left to right, you’ll find, Harley Quinn ( Margot Robbie), Killer Croc ( Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje), Katana ( Karen Fukuhara), Rick Flagg ( Joel Kinnaman), Deadshot ( Will Smith) and Captain Boomerang ( Jai Courtney). Missing from the above picture is the Joker ( Jared Leto) and Enchantress ( Cara Delevigne). The photo doesn’t reveal too much, but we’ll have to see more of the film as August 5th comes closer to get a better look.

For feminist fans of Star Wars, Rey being missing from the first wave of action figures was the end of the world. The #Wheresrey movement spread like wildfire, and soon enough the company had to respond.

Because for a lot of these people, they may have never realized that “wave 1” was a common term in the toy world, meaning that more were on the way. A second wave was coming. In responding to the #Wheresrey movement, Paul Souther, the head of Lucasfilm licensing, explained that Rey’s action figure had several spoilers for the movie itself.

“This new wave of product has got key elements from the film. You see Rey with a saber, her blaster, and a number of other elements we wanted to hold back until the film had been released. The timing is good to try to address some of the social discussion that has been created through the ‘Where’s Rey?’ movement.”

As far as Lucasfilm goes, they did nothing wrong. They simply didn’t want to spoil the movie for fans, who would of thought? (Well, Matt Liebl of Gamezone did.Kudos to him.)

Ubuntu 16.04 LTS Operating System Launches Tomorrow Offering 5 Year Support

After releasing a number of beta versions of its new Linux operating system Canonical will be launching its new Ubuntu 16.04 LTS operating system with Long Term Support (or LTS).

The LTS support will provide users with support and software updates for five years and provides the first full version Ubuntu to support snap packages as well as .deb packages.

Ubuntu 16.04 LTS launched for desktop, server, and other platforms tomorrow on April 21st and Canonical is also expected to update the recently rolled out Ubuntu on Windows software for Windows 10 to Ubuntu 16.04 over the next few months. European Regulators Launch Antitrust Complaint Against Google Over Android

Earlier in the week we heard the the European regulators may launch an antitrust complaint against Google over their Android OS, it is now official and the European Commission is alleging that Google has breached European antitrust regulations.

According to the details released by the European Commission, Google has breached the rules in three different ways.

The first breach that the EU are charging Google will is requiring manufacturers to pre-install Google Search and also their Chrome browser ion their devices, they have also said that setting Google Search as the default search provide on devices is also a breach of the rules.

The second breach is related to selling smartphones and tablet with competing operating systems that are based on Google’s Android source code.

The third breach of the rules is releated to Google giving financial incentives to both mobile operators and device manufacturers for exclusively pre-installing Google search on their devices.

You can see part of the statement from the European regulators below, Google now has a chance to appeal the ruling.

Today, the Commission adopted a Decision to initiate proceedings in the Google Android investigation also against Alphabet Inc., Google’s parent company, which was created after proceedings had been initiated against Google. The Statement of Objections summarised above is addressed to both Google and Alphabet Inc.

A statement of objections is a formal step in Commission investigations into suspected violations of EU antitrust rules. The Commission informs the parties concerned in writing of the objections raised against them. The addressees can examine the documents in the Commission’s investigation file, reply in writing and request an oral hearing to present their comments on the case before representatives of the Commission and national competition authorities. Sending a Statement of Objections does not prejudge the outcome of the investigation, as the Commission takes a final decision only after the parties have exercised their rights of defence.

Google could possibly face a fine of up to $15 billion, this is 10% of their turnover in the last financial year for each violation, their turnover in 2015 was $74.5 billion, so they could be fined $7.45 billion for each potential violation.

YouTube has announced that it is launching 360 degree live video streaming and they are also launching spatial audio for on demand videos.

Google first introduced 360 degree videos to YouTube back in March of last year and now they are launching the option to live stream these videos.

Bethesda elaborates on Fallout 4: Far Harbor’s size

When the first three pieces of DLC were originally detailed for Fallout 4, we finally were treated to overviews of two moderately sized pieces, Automatron and Wasteland Workshop, and a third piece, Far Harbor, promised to be “the largest landmass for an add-on that [Bethedsa has] ever created.” Considering some of the DLC for the developer’s previous games, the statement immediately raised a few eyebrows.

Questioned on Twitter, specifically in how Far Harbor compares to the particularly massive Shivering Isles DLC for Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Vice President of PR and Marketing at Bethesda, Pete Hines, said simply, “It’s bigger in size than Shivering Isles. I asked.”

So what does that mean exactly? Unfortunately, no hard numbers have ever surfaced to the exact square-area of Shivering Isles, but as anyone that played it can attest, it was incredibly large, roughly a quarter the size of Cyrodil in Oblivion, which was charted at 16 miles from tip to tip.

As far as content though, Shivering Islesadded a whole new landmass, complete with a large, multi-zone main city, roughly two-dozen dungeons to explore, over a dozen camps to run across in the wilderness, and more than a handful of settlements dotting the landscape. This, of course, was all in addition to a side-quests and a full and separate main storyline that encompassed the DLC.

While Shivering Isles released for $30 however, Far Harbor will only be $25 on its own, or available to any that bought the Fallout 4 season pass.

“A new case from Valentine’s Detective Agency leads you on a search for a young woman and a secret colony of synths. Travel off the coast of Maine to the mysterious island of Far Harbor, where higher levels of radiation have created a more feral world,” the DLC description reads. “Navigate through the growing conflict between the synths, the Children of Atom, and the local townspeople. Will you work towards bringing peace to Far Harbor, and at what cost?”

There are more than a 100 games that will be streamed including Resident Evil 3, Donkey Kong Country, Bioshock Infinite, Tetris, Castlevania and loads more. One lingering question from fans is, which era will it be set in? Well, we may have the answer.

A recent report from Birth.Movies.Death has revealed that this series will take place before The Next Generation. That would certainly be an interesting time period for the new series to take place during. Of course it would mean no Romulans. It is a time period that is wide open for adventure. Take it with a grain of salt for now, but it sounds very reasonable.

The site quoted one of their sources, “A trusted source has chimed in and told me that it looks like the show will be a seasonal anthology, which means the first season will be set post-Undiscovered Country. After that the entire Star Trek universe is potentially open. So those of you hoping for a post-Dominion War show… don’t give up hope. That could come some day.”

This new Star Trek TV series is expected to air in 2017 on CBS All-Access, an online video streaming service that will cost $5.99 a month.

Bethesda ported Skyrim to Xbox One as a technical test

Nintendo for example decided touching up The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker for the Wii U would be a great way to both bring in fans and early adopters as well as get their team familiar with technical capabilities of their new machine. So it’s not really surprising that Bethesda did something similar by getting their dragonslaying open-world fantasy game, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, to run on Microsoft’s Xbox One.

During a studio visit by the folks at Game Informer, the director of Skyrim and Fallout 4, Todd Howard explained it was part of the early development stages of the latter project. He stated, “the first thing we did was port Skyrim to Xbox One,” but was then very quick to quell any enthusiasm for a remastered release saying, “don’t get your hopes up yet.” Disappointment aside, it was a very smart call by Howard to do this, as both the Elder Scrolls and Fallout games are notoriously buggy, and every new console generation has its share of growing pains when it comes to developers getting used to the new hardware. However, the “yet” part of the statement and the fact that Bethesda have released older games before on new hardware like the pretty decent Dishonored: Definitive Edition does still hold out hope for a chance for Skyrim to show up again later down the line.

The Elder Scrolls games are well-known for their creative and dedicated modding community. Well recently, the Skyrim modder UniqueUses uploaded screenshots of his latest project, “Toon Skyrim.” As you can guess, “Toon Skyrim” makes the game look like a cartoon.

But how exactly does UniqueUses get Skyrim to look like this?

Every texture in Skyrim was reworked by lowering the resolutions and getting rid of details. Textures were also smoothed out to get rid of rough edges. This leaves the textures with almost no detail and makes the game look like cartoon. UniqueUses describes his project as a “Potatoe texture mod.”

However, lowering the texutres isnt’t enough to make Skyrim look this good. UniqueUses uses an ENB mod to create a more dynamic environment. For those who don’t know what an ENB is, it’s a graphics mod that adds a ton of post-processing visuals to a game like depth-of-field vision, sun flares, and realistic lighting. Plus, a custom weather mod is added to match the new visuals.
