Google Play Store has a massive library of over 2 million apps from thousands of developers. According to a new report, the Google Play Store reached a whopping 11 billion downloads in the last quarter.

This is an increase of an impressive 6.7 percent compared to the same quarter last year, so there’s a decent improvement.

As far as the most downloaded apps are concerned, Facebook Messenger and Facebook are the two most popular apps in the Google Play Store. Here’s the list of some of the top apps as per the report:

Facebook Messenger Facebook Snapchat Candy Crush Jelly Saga Pandora Color Switch Instagram Piano Tiles 2 Netflix YouTube Music Google Photos WhatsApp

One of the most interesting bits is that Clash Royal has managed to enter the top 20 on both iOS and Google Play Store, especially after the fact that it was released just less than a month before the end of the first quarter, and managed to reach the 9th spot overall.

It’s worth mentioning that these are not official numbers from Google so there’s a possibility of an error. We’re hoping Google will also shed some light on the numbers soon.
