Aston Martin has compressed the Vantage line in the US down to a single model called the Vantage GTS. This is the last year the car is expected to live in current form; a completely new car with new engine is expected next year. The GTS uses a 4.7L V8 that makes glorious noise. US buyers will be able to get the GTS in coupe or convertible forms.
Buyers can also choose a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed automatic. Two GTS trim levels will be offered with the Sport Edition and Lux Edition. The Sport edition gets lots of carbon fiber bits and a black finish on the front grille and headlight bezels. It also gets sport suspension stock. The Lux version gets comfort suspension bright metal grille and gloss black finish on other parts along with Bang & Olufsen audio standard.
Both versions get the AMi III infotainment and nav system. The official list price hasn’t been announced just yet. The Vantage GTS is expected to cost around $135,000. The next generation Vantage is expected to use a 4.0L twin turbo AMG V8. I hope it has the glorious sound Astons are known for.
