The Division Is Going Down For Maintenance Tomorrow, Get The Details

Well it looks like Ubisoft needs to take Tom Clancy’s The Division offline again, but at least it won’t be during a primetime Friday evening time slot this time around.

offline again, but at least it won’t be during a primetime Friday evening time slot this time around. Expect Manhattan to go dark for a little while starting tomorrow morning.

The announcement went live earlier today over on The Division blog. According to the scant details, servers for The Division/i> will shut down for weekly maintenance the morning of March 15. The exact time is scheduled for 9 a.m. CET, 4 a.m. EDT, or 1 a.m. PDT. According to the post, the estimated downtime is three hours, but many of you will likely still be deep in slumber as the game is tweaked in your absence.

If you’re planning on pulling an all-nighter and want to get back into the game ASAP, you’re encouraged to check back on the above linked thread, as that’s where Ubisoft plans to announce servers are back online as soon as they become available.

While those hours are far more reasonable than the last bit of downtime for The Division over the weekend, many U.S. schools are on spring break this week. So even though the maintenance window will be well-timed in most instances, we expect a few night owls or super early risers will be bummed to discover they can’t blast their way through the apocalypse in the wee hours of the morning.

When asked what will be addressed in this latest maintenance window, a Ubisoft representative simply that we will “just have to wait and see.” So expect details on that as soon as they become available.

While The Division hasn’t had the smoothest launch, the team should be commended for quickly addressing issues as they become available. The game has only been out a couple of weeks and, including the day-one patch, this makes the third time Ubisoft has implemented some fixesinto the popular, and apparently super well-selling, third-person shooter.

At this rate, we expect the game to be leveled out and servers to be firing on all cylinders in no time. Until then, we’ve just got to remain patient and let the team do their work behind the scenes.
