Apple’s new music streaming service was made official at WWDC yesterday, it is called Apple Music and it is a subscription based music streaming service.

Apple’s new music streaming service is made up of three elements, a music streaming service, a new radio service with a live music station called Beats 1 and Apple Music Connect, a place where artists and fans can connect.


How much will Apple Music cost?

Apple will be offering a free trial of their new music service for three months to everyone, after that there are two pricing options, a single subscription that will cost $9.99 a month and a family subscription that will cost $14.99 a month.

The family subscription lets up to six members of your family use the service and each member will have their own personalized settings with their music tailored to what they like.


When will Apple Music be available?

Apple is launching their new music streaming service on the 30th of June, this wont be a US only launch like some of Apple’s previous launches, instead their new music service will be available in more than 100 countries at launch.


What is Apple Music Radio?

Apple Music Radio features a new 24 hour radio station called Beats 1, the station will feature some of the world’s top DJ’s like Zane Lowe, Ebro Darden and Julie Adenuga and it will be broadcast live from Los Angeles, New York and London.


What devices will Apple Music work with?

The service will work with the iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, plus the Mac and PC at launch on the 30th of June, Apple also has plans to bring the service to Google’s Android platform and this will be available late in the year some time in the fall. The company also said that they will bring the service to their Apple TV device later in the year?
