The handset will retail for €299.99 and will be sold in limited quantities in Europe on an invite only basis.
The Meizu MX4 Ubuntu Edition was launched in Chinalast month and now the handset is headed to Europe this month.
The Meizu MX4 Ubuntu Edition comes with a 5.3 inch IPS display that has a resolution of 1920 x 1152 pixels and the device is powered by a 2GHz MediaTek MT6595 processor.
Other specifications on the Ubuntu Edition of the Meizu MX4 include 2GB of RAM and 16GB of built in storage, the handset also comes with two cameras.
On the front of the device there is a 2 megapixel camera fore video chat and on the back of the handset there is a 20.7 megapixel camera.
The Meizu MX4 Ubuntu Edition also comes with a 3100 mAh battery and it will run Ubuntu Linux with a custom UI which has been designed for smaller displays.
