The Outlook glance for the Apple Watch is now available to download directly from the iTunes App Store and even though it’s fairly basic it does provide access to email notifications on the go.
Microsoft has today launched their new Microsoft Outlook Apple Watchapp that allows users to access their Outlook email account directly from their wrist worn Apple device.
Microsoft has also set up a dedicated wearable site that includes details on all the different applications that are available for both Android Wear and the new Apple Watch and includes applications such as OneDrive, PowerPoint, Outlook, Skype and OneNote to name a few. Tom Warren over at the Verge website has already been putting the new Outlook Watch application through its paces, and explains a little more about the new Outlook Apple Watch app :
By default, Outlook notifications on the Apple Watch now show a lot more of the email body instead of cutting it short after a couple of sentences. While you still can’t reply instantly from a notification, you can now tap on the Outlook icon in the notification to launch a dedicated Outlook Apple Watch app that lets you see an overview of email and reply to any messages using quick replies or dictation.
